HOV FEELS THAT EMINEM SHOULD OF BEEN ON THE MTV'S HOTTEST MC'S LIST
According to Jay, while being named the hottest MC of the year is clearly a distinction he’s most proud of, it’s not what he aims to do. The rapper vouches with little to no modesty that his career dream is that of being the best of all times and not simply over a determined period of time, such as it is the case of the yearly awards and accolades. In order to achieve this, he’s working more than he would have ever thought humanly possible, which is also why he’s almost convinced he can pull off the amazing feat, Jay-Z begins by saying.
And then Jay interrupts himself to call on MTV to offer an explanation for why Eminem is not on the list. “Sidebar: Kanye moment if I may… Eminem?!?! I think you do the credibility of this list a disservice if you don’t thoroughly explain his omission. As of this second he has the highest selling rap album of the year and a scene stealing verse on the best ‘posse’ cut of the year. (*Hands mic back to Taylor Swift… and nobody was harmed, I apologize in advance.)” Jay-Z writes.
Clearly, Jay-Z does have a point, as several other media outlets also point out. Otherwise, no one could possibly explain why “questionable entries” like Rick Ross and Gucci Mane have made the list at number 5 and 6, respectively, and Eminem did not, despite having a very successful album out and an equally impressive career, as Grapevine puts it. Other names that made the cut are Raekwon at number 10, followed by Eminem collaborator and friend 50 Cent, Fabolous and Young Jeezy. The top 5 MCs of 2009 are Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West and the aforementioned Rick Ross at number 5.
No matter how much both Jay-Z and the fans lament Eminem’s omission from the list, MTV insists it did nothing wrong. “Eminem is one of the best ever on the mic. His track record is undeniable. The Hottest list deals with right now, though. If the Brain Trust had compiled the Hottest list back in May, there’s no doubt Eminem would have made the Top 10.” MTV says in a statement.

is heading to an Indian religious retreat to turn his life around either for good or bad or both but we hope is for good.
After storming the stage and interrupting Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye revealed he would be taking time out to re-assess his life.
Sources claim Kanye is planning to spend a month at a Hindu ashram in Pondicherry, India after his tour with lady gaga has been cancelled.
West sees signs of his life going in a wrong direction after his mother's death and feels bad about the Taylor Swift incident According to another source.

THE VMAS RATING SKY ROCKETED THANKS TO MR.WEST

* The 2009 Video Music Awards was watched by over 26.9 million viewers on MTV, MTV2 and VH1 on Sunday night. This is up +17% from the 23 million who tuned in to MTV/MTV2 last year.
* Airing on MTV, MTV2 and VH1, the 2009 VMAs averaged over 11 million total viewers. This is up +21% from MTV and MTV2’s coverage in 2008 (9.1 million) and the largest VMA audience since 2002.
* On MTV, The 2009 VMAs averaged just under 9 million total viewers, the largest audience since the 2004 awards. Up +6% year to year (8.97 million vs. 8.43 million).
* On MTV2, The 2009 VMAs averaged 749,000 total viewers, up +11% year to year (749,000 vs. 674,000).
* Among P12-34, The 2009 VMAs on MTV, MTV2 and VH1 averaged 7.2 million P12-34 viewers. This is up +16% from MTV and MTV2’s coverage in 2008 (7.2 million vs. 6.2 million).
* On MTV, The 2009 VMAs delivered a 7.5 P12-34 coverage rating, its strongest rating since the 2005 VMAs.
* The 2009 VMAs is the #1 show on cable this year among P12-34.
* On VH1, The 2009 VMAs averaged 1.3 million total viewers, improving its time period by +21%. Among P12-34, VH1 averaged a 1.03 rating, up 8% in its time period.

Barack Obama Calls Kanye West A, “Jackass”
During a CNBC interview on Monday, President Obama called Kanye West a “jackass” regarding his behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards. Obama’s colorful remark was actually made in an off-the-record portion of the interview that was tweeted — and then deleted — by ABC News reporter Terry Moran.

2004: West allegedly walked out of the American Music awards claiming he was "robbed" when country singer Gretchen Wilson won Best New Artist instead of him. "I was the best artist of the year," he told reporters, claiming a conspiracy was at work.2005: West goes off-script live on NBC during a Hurricane Katrina benefit concert to tell America "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Mike Myers's astounded expression says it all.
2005: It's not just MTV awards that get West all riled up. Prior to the 2005 Grammys, the rapper warned there would be a "real problem" if he went away empty-handed. Artists who claimed to "love everybody but themselves" were just engaging in "cliched media training", apparently. Seems he was just getting warmed up.
2006: West delivered an expletive-ridden tirade when Justice vs Simian scooped the Best Video award at the MTV Europe Music awards in Copenhagen. But Touch the Sky had Pam Anderson in it! West jumped across canyons! Afterwards the rapper responded to criticism by saying: "People were so surprised at what I did. I'm more surprised people thought I had changed."
2006: An interview with Rolling Stone stokes more controversy and Fox News get to run the immortal headline "Kanye West poses as Jesus, says he's addicted to porn."
2007: At the MTV Video Music Awards the rapper apparently became "upset" when he had to perform his song Stronger from the Palms' Hugh Hefner Sky Villa instead of the main stage. When he walked away empty-handed after receiving five nominations, he reportedly yelled: "That's two years in a row, man … I'm trying hard, man, I have the number one record, man."
2008: Ye's ever-expanding blog becomes the outlet for his capital-letter frustration with just about everyone. In reponse to his arrest after an altercation with a photographer. "Let us not forget the paps killed princess Diana" he writes.
2009: Someone, somewhere, goes a step too far when they assume West's identity on Twitter. "I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER… WHY WOULD I USE TWITTER???" he writes. Why indeed, when there are so many awards shows to vent your opinion at?
2009: "South Park murdered me last night", writes West, after the rapper was depicted on the show as a gay man attracted only to male fish. In a rare and apparently fleeting moment of self-awareness, he writes. "As long as people think I act like a bitch this type of shit will happen to me."
2009: The rapper elicits a chorus of boos when he bounds onstage during country singer Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Video and declares "Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!"

Kanye West has apologized to country singer Taylor Swift after the rapper/singer jumped on stage during her acceptance speech at the 2009 Video Music Awards last night (September 13).Swift won the MTV VMA for best female video for "You Belong With Me," besting Beyonce’s "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."
Kanye West felt Beyonce was meant to win the award and rushed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, interrupting her to proclaim Beyonce’s vide the “best of all-time,” leaving the young singer in tears.
On his blog he said:
I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! Later in the show, Beyonce allowed Swift to finish her speech, after Beyonce took home Video of the Year.
“Wow. This is amazing. I remember being 17-years -old being up for my first award with Destiny’s Child. And it was one of the most exciting moments of my life,” said Beyonce, who came up to accept the award for Video of the Year. So I would like to invite Taylor to come out and have her moment.”

Kanye West lashed out at a cameraman filming him while shopping with girlfriend Amber Rose on the pap-filled streets of Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood on Thursday (Sept. 3).
“Don’t follow me, do not follow me!” he repeatedly told the apologetic paparazzo. Note to Kanye: If you want to avoid the paps, try shopping somewhere else !
